Cosmos Space Academy is a family version of our popular stargazing short breaks. It is suitable for all ages and includes fantastic, hands-on fun and activities for the whole family. Join us on a voyage of discovery. Spend time in our immersive digital planetarium to see incredible views of the universe. In July the skies don’t really get dark but we can still observe through telescopes. We can see the Moon and maybe a planet or two. With special filters we can also look at the fiery surface of the Sun!

This is a two day course starting on Saturday July 30th and finishing on Sunday July 31st.  The fun starts in the morning on both days.  There is a break in the afternoon.  More fun begins again early evening. Activities include:

  • Hands on use of telescopes
  • Making bottle rockets that can fly up to 30m
  • Looking at real samples of rocks from outer space
  • Landing a rover on the surface of the moon
  • Watching amazing images in the planetarium

For those of you wishing something smaller, we have a Thursday evening show (over 16s) and smaller workshops taking place on the Friday 29th June (Age 5+).
